“Eluna,” I sighed, reaching out to place a hand on her shoulder,
“This isn’t your fault. You were just being a good host, and I appreciate that. But I was too reckless, too careless to show my wolf out in the open like I did. I should have been more careful, especially with the possibility of Jenna being around now. If it wouldn’t have happened tonight, it would have happened another night.” I spoke as she looked at me, her eyes welling up with tears.
“I just don’t want to see you hurting, Adam. You love Jenna so much, and I can’t bear to see you suffer like this. For the first time since I can remember, you looked so happy. And I can't see you go downhill again.” She admitted as I offered her a reassuring smile, despite feeling dead on the inside.
