The sun streamed through the big windows of the kitchen, overlooking the backyard and the woods in the distance, casting a warm glow across the hardwood floors of Gran’s old house, or as we now said; our house. It was a bittersweet morning, one that marked the ending of one chapter, and the beginning of a whole new chapter in Adam’s and my life. Today was official moving day, and we were finally ready to call this place our home.
