Three months later… Sara sat on the front steps of the lodge. Leaning back against the step behind her, she ran her hands over her bulging belly. There were still two months left in her pregnancy but her stomach had really grown in the last few weeks. A kick against her hand had her smiling happily. Her son was a constant mover. She was bundled up in a coat and knit cap. She liked feeling him move inside her. She talked to him almost to the point that she thought him kicking her was his way of telling her shut up. Her hands were cold but she kept them against her skin beneath her layers of clothing. She was sure they would warm up soon. Amy and Gray sat on the rock bench at the outlook. They didn’t talk.
