We were driving through the city heading back to the apartment. It was later than I had intended, but Livvy had been having fun, and seeming to enjoy time with Daisy, so we stayed a little later. I decided to call a cab back to the apartment rather than wait around for subways, and considering Livvy’s head was resting on my shoulder, heavily told me I had made the right choice. She was tired.
