“Who’s this?” Daddy asked, giving Cas an up and down look. “A little old for you, ain’t he?” I rolled my eyes. “This is Cas Caswell,” I said. “Cas, my dad.” Daddy ignored Cas’ outstretched hand. “You messing with my daughter?” he asked in his usual blunt manner.
