We have arranged a meal with the senior members of the pack before leaving, so we are gathered in the dining hall, the tables all formerly laid out. I have to say I feel like we are at a banquet in Victorian England rather than at a pack meeting. But anyway, Alpha John has promised us a good meal and some drinks before we settle for the night before our morning flight. I can’t say I am looking forward to the long flight home, but I am most certainly looking forward to seeing my wife and the kids too. Amazing how much you can miss them in such a short space of time, when you are so used to being with them all the time. I used to love being away from the pack and travelling before, and to be honest I still do, so long as Lilah and the kids can come with me, but if they can’t, then I don’t
