Utterly disappointed with the mixed emotions weighing down on her all at once, she turned around from Mr. Hood. The latter saw the distraught in her expression, but he did not allow her to turn her back on him. With his natural swift movement, he stood on her way, startling Princess Loaisa who would have fallen if it wasn’t for his arms coming around her. She quickly composed herself and gently pushed him off her. Still, Mr. Hood refused to get out of her way. Princess Loaisa looked him straight in the eye. They reflected her exhaustion and fear for what the vampires had caused in Northumbria. “You don’t answer me,” he pointed out. The authority in his voice somehow exasperated Princess Loaisa. She frowned and pursed her lips together, but with a lower voice said, “why are you here?”
