I wasn't sure what to think of Anthony telling my mother that he would be willing to confess his sins and save his soul. Did he say that just to make her happy or was he telling the truth about doing it if I were to ask him? He didn't have anything in his expression to say if he was telling the truth or not. I would think that since he's never lied to me that he wouldn't to her either but he's also never mentioned doing this either.
It was always a topic that we never talked about. I didn't know how he felt and I didn't want us to get into any kind of argument over it.
