Paityn's POV:
"It's almost time!" The nurse said as she took a measurement.
"But he isn't here yet! He's on his way, is there any way to delay this?" I said in a panic even though I knew that a delay isn't something that can be done.
The nurse just looked at me like I was crazy and pulled her gloves off.
"What?" I asked as if it was a normal thing to ask at the moment.
"Just a few more minutes, please! He's just dropping off our son with my sister. He should be here in any minute." I continued to try to persuade her like a complete lunatic.
"I will let the doctor know that you are at nine centimeters." The nurse said and walked out the door.
