For once in my life, I pushed any thoughts that I had that tried to reason with my heart out of the way. This time I was only going to listen to my heart and my heart was in love with this man. Just being near him always made me feel safe and got my heart beating like crazy. I may not agree with what he does but it is something that I can look past and forgive, that is, if he is willing to end this kind of life.
"Work can't ever be brought home," I told him and he shook his head.
