Emma struggled to her feet as Luci was kicked loose and trampled. His screams and yelps of pain tore through Emma's heart and soul.
"Stop! STOP! Please stop!" She screamed, begging and sobbing. The stag, hearing her voice, paused for a moment. "Please stop." She implored. As if enraged that she was begging for the lives of Luci and Bel, the stag circled on them and rushed at them again. Emma screamed and tried to run faster, her body and stomach weighing her down.
Lucian was struggling to stand. He knew at least one leg was crushed, and there were some heavily battered, maybe broken ribs, but Master Bel was fending off the stag with nothing but a sword! Bel swung his gold sword again and it was caught in the antlers of the stag. Bel roared as the stag screamed an enraged cry
