As soon as I hit the floor, Jennie ran over towards me. Picking me up and rocking my body slowly, while she was trying to shush me.
“What on earth are you apologizing for, Emily?” She asked me while she stroked my hair out of my face.
“For lying to you, to everybody.” Jennie hummed as she kept rocking me.
She will make such an amazing mother when she gets her twins!
“No need to apologize Emily, I’ve told you before. I have a monster mother too. I know better than anyone how controlling and manipulating they can be.” She spoke softly, as she never let me go.
“You’re doing the right thing now, that is all that matters to me.” She whispered to me, and I could hear the smile in her last sentence. I pushed myself back up as I wiped my tears away with my hand.
“Thank you.” I whispere
