*Nicolina’s POV*
After Jovan arrives, I leave him with Joel and train with Lissa. We spend more time getting our times down for the barrel races than we move on the slides, and I give her tips on when Lissa goes in to ride the bucking bronco
I watch Lissa take my approach and time how long she stays on for and when we are satisfied the time is enough, we take the horses back and feed them and let them rest until it is time for the competition to begin
I walk back to the team tent and see how Joel is going, and I catch him in deep conversation with Jovan. I walk up to Joel and kiss him, “Liss and I are going to get some food. Do you want anything?”
Joel smiles “could you get us a couple of sandwich’s sweetheart.”
