I paced across my living room, my hands clenched into fists as Jojo's words still echoed in my mind. It had been two days since our conversation, but the anger still simmered inside me, stubborn and unrelenting. Which was why I had asked either Eluna or Selene to pick up Lucy after school for the past two days when they were in between visits with baby Leo.
