Raven’s P.O.V.
I smiled, the tension starting to ease between my sister and me. Even after all the years we had spent apart, Eluna still had that ability to make me feel at home. And as much as we bickered, I wouldn’t trade her for anything. Eluna and I just sat on the back porch for a moment, before her voice broke the fragile stillness.
“Raven, can I ask you something serious?”
I blinked, pulled from my reverie. I glanced at her, her eyes reflecting the clouds in the sky. There was something earnest there, something that made my chest tighten. I didn’t know how to answer. Words felt too heavy, too tangled.
“I just want to know this out of love I hold for you as my brother,” Eluna continued gently, her voice a soft balm against the tension rising within me.
