Most adults probably would have dismissed him or thought that he was being unreasonably rude with the way he spoke to me, but I could tell that he was upset more than he was angry. I could understand his positon and I emphasized. He was attached to Mrs. Stuart and didn't want to have to spend time with a strange woman who may or may not stay for a lengthy period of time.
