It was hard to take his eyes from Lylah, but he had to remain focused on Lylah’s father as he did his fatherly duty of making the rules for the evening. “I know she is your mate, but you best keep it a shenanigan free night. I don’t know you as well as Lylah and my wife do and until I do you need to watch your step young man.”
Smiling to him Nicolas nodded his head. “I can promise that sir and I would never wish to upset Lylah or you both as her parents. I promise to be on my best behavior and that I will bring her home tonight soon after midnight, once the dance is over.”
