Habang kumakain ako ng almusal ay nakita ko si Papa na pumasok sa silid. Unlike me, nakasuot pa rin siya ngayon ng pajama at halatang kagigising lang niya. Tumitig lang ako sa kaniya, at siya naman ay ngumiti habang nakatingin sa aking pormal na kasuotan. I smiled and nodded, “I see. When is the meet up?” I asked my father. Hindi naman niya napansin ang pagkasabik sa aking tono, at mukhang hindi naman siya naghihinala. Ang nakakaalam lang din kasi ng aming history ni Maverick ay si Yaya Teresa. Sa kaniya ako umiyak at sa kaniya ko binuhos ang lahat ng aking damdamin bago ko napagdesisyunang tumungo sa Hawaii na. Alam niya ang lahat, at hinahayaan niya ako sa mga gusto kong gawin ngayon dahil may tiwala siya sa akin at alam niyang alam ko ang lahat ng aking ginagawa.

“I know you can do it, hija. I have faith in you. At saka isa pa, it was your brilliant idea.” Ngumisi si Papa. He was right though. Ang aming resort, nandito lang. Wala masyadong exposure kahit ginawa ko na ang lahat, kailangan ng mga bagay na mas magpapaalala rito, at ang isang posibleng gawin ay ang ilagay din ang Kehanu Resort sa brand ng mga Maximillio. Ang mga turista, iuuwi nila ang kanilang mga pinamili. That is the logic behind it.

“No pressure, please. But yes, that is a good idea, Dad. In case the business proposal will not happen, I have another suggestion, or Plan B.”

“And that is?” My father asked.

“I will buy the ownership to their business, that is through his father, Mr. Marcos Maximillio. I am sure he will agree if we give a generous amount.
