The king talked only about sword fighting for days; he was like a child with new energy and life. I have not seen him so much like his old self in a very long time, and it is all because of Scott.
Scott was not intimidated by being around the king and was quick to return a clash of swords, giving as much as he could. Even the queen has noticed the changes in the king since Scott was there. His ability to see clarity in situations and find solutions quickly is admirable. He can bring most to smile, and his experience with those returned service people has given him compassion and understanding beyond the norm for a man so young.
