Hank POV The sound of feet rushing down the hallway and thumping down the stairs was music to my ears. They were in the kitchen, sitting at the breakfast bar, eating and chatting quietly. Heather asked them questions as they ate, and she prepared lunches for them. 'Good morning, family.' I greeted the room as I entered, keeping it as light as possible. Two of the children tightened up but greeted me back politely. So, was the issue all on the man's side? Was he a short-tempered one? I only questioned who was the one to be the bully.
