This was it. I was talking to the man who was going to do the ceremony. He was joking with me, telling me it was my last chance to back out, but I would never do that. It was fun to banter with him. He then suggested I get Bob ready, as the queen and king had just entered, and suddenly, all this was real and happening.
It was time to become a face the world would recognize, as Ben was to the king and queen. There will be no more hiding now, and the woman by my side will become one who will envy the queen's right hand. I don't know if I am ready for that side of the marriage.
I wish Dad had been here; I miss him so much. I need him to tell me I have done the right thing and that this is where he wanted me to be. He is proud of me, and I have done all that he needed me to do be
