CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE: CLARK ENDLESS
I wasn’t sure how long it had been since Ben had gone to go to talk to the Lords. What I did know was that waiting was absolute torture. As I waited, I heard a voice calling my name. “Clark….” it was a woman’s voice. A woman’s voice that I recognized.
I looked up sharply.
There, in the shadows, was Lilith. She laughed coldly. “My, my, how the mighty have fallen. This is such a nice twist. You wanted to keep your darling Queen safe, and now you’ve ended up locked away. Where you can’t even save her.”
“You took her,” I hissed.
“Pregnancy is a dangerous thing. There are many things that could hurt her, and the baby. Hell is the most dangerous place there is, and keeping her there, where no one could get her is the only thing that I could make.”
