Jet and my wolf Jade were in our meadow lying side by side on the shore of the lake. Our jet black fur glistened in the sunlight. The only discernible difference between our wolves was the crescent moon on our foreheads. While mine had a soft green glow, Jet's was glowing white. He lifted his head, looked around, then laid his head on the back of Jade's neck. 'Get some rest, Jade. I will protect you.' I heard Jet say. The two of us drifted off to sleep to the hum of the bees gathering pollen from the wildflowers. The sound of voices carried to my ears and penetrated my sleep. I awoke in my human form. My back was now to the lake with Jet now lying beside me with his cold nose nestled in my neck. Good thing I really like this wolf, because he seems to have no problem invading my persona
