Our eyes became laser focused on Emma. She knows Gavin's location! OMG! My heart thudded in my chest. I almost forgot to breathe. Gavin. The man I loved. Still loved six years after he left the pack and disappeared. She knows where he is.
I looked towards Pa, only to see his eyes glazed over. He had to be mind-linked with someone. I quickly glanced at Uncle George to see the same glazed eyes. They silently nodded to each other as though in agreement.
I then heard Pa's voice in my head. "Ellie, let's listen to what Emma has to say before jumping in blind. We have a lot to deal with. As long as he isn't in immediate danger, we need to focus on capturing Gabriel Savage. Then, and only then, can we shift our focus to Gavin."
Reluctantly, I bowed my head in agreement, and followed Pa's lead
