Amara watched Celeste straighten her back, a look of resolve on her thin pale face. "Be right back" she croaked, trudging slowly up the stairs as everyone watched. But it was the strong male vampire's eyes that stayed on her the longest, his eyes glowing red. Amara wondered at the intense look on his face as the witch presumably went to fetch the keys. Was there something she was missing? It seemed like a lifetime, when in actual fact it was mere minutes before Celeste came back, a small ring of keys in her delicate hands. She approached the male vampire first, her eyes full of trepidation even as he stood fully back, trying to show her he didn't pose a threat.
