Rosalia’s POV: Eris leaves soon after that with the parting reminder that I should get some sleep, but I don’t follow her advice, too afraid of the nightmares I know to lurk behind my eyes. Instead, I pull on the jacket I’d discarded a few hours earlier and pad downstairs softly, looking over to see Eris was nowhere in sight. But I can see where the others are still lying together by the dying light of the fire and I walk over slowly, not eager to disturb them. When I get to the doorway, I duck into another room and slip off my clothes silently before holding my breath as I shift, still not used to the feeling of my bones snapping and resetting.
