I forced myself to walk away from that house, away from my half-sister though it pained me to see the hurt in those doe-like eyes of hers. I was angry, furious even at my father for cheating on my mother. I knew they had their problems, hell anyone could see they no longer loved each other, but I had never thought he would be capable of having an affair under our very noses. The fact he was having an affair with someone in the same pack, even if she was on the outskirts of it, made it worse somehow. I couldn't bear to go home and look my mother in the eyes, not with the knowledge I now possessed, so I squared my shoulders and slowly began to make my way back toward the lake.
