When Avani returns the next morning, he confirms the rumors that Keya heard.
“We have to figure out how to get them away from their riders!” Avani says, slamming a hand on the table in the room where we’re meeting. All the Elementals, their mates, Keya, Elio, Vaeril, Anala, Ancalagon, Kenna, and I are meeting to discuss the next steps.
“I understand it’s upsetting, Avani,” I say.
“You weren’t there. You didn’t see it,” he growls.
