Chapter 26
Alaric’s pov
I was excited to get started my training, I really hoped that it brought Louis and I closer together. I know Cassie wants her family to get along and love me. I will prove to them that I am the best person for their daughter and that I love her more than anyone else can.
Louis was in good spirits at breakfast. He seemed to be looking forward to spending the day together. As soon as we had finished eating, I gave Cassie a kiss and followed him up to his office so he could give me an overview of the job.
“Being king on the magical kingdom is far different from being king in the Vampire Kingdom or even coven leader. As you know, it is the women that hold the power here” he says to me.
