Five days after the accident happened, Mr. Javier was still unconscious but his vital signs were stable. Greg’s blood type matched perfectly with Mr. Javier’s. He was saved by Greg and Rowena was beyond grateful. She vowed to tell Mr. Javier everything when he’s fully recovered.
Meanwhile, Steve didn’t leave the funeral. For five straight days, he stayed beside his mom’s casket. He was not talking. He seldom ate, most of the time having only something to drink. Greg was worried about him but Steve was not even talking to him.
Greg knew how Steve must have felt about all the things happening at once – his mother’s death, his dad still in coma, the revelation about them being brothers, and the coming to an end of their relationship. Or maybe it has ended, we just didn’t talk about it.
