When Greg woke up the next morning, his head was pounding. He opened his eyes and looked around. He saw Steve at the far end of the room, working on his laptop. He didn’t notice that Greg had waken up.
Greg studied Steve from afar. He acknowledged that Steve still occupied a special place in his heart despite his promise that he would start avoiding him. I know Steve, I promised myself that I would avoid you since you called it quits. I really tried my best Steve. God knows I tried my best.
Greg sat up and leaned his back on the headboard. When he looked to his right, he saw a glass of lemon water on a bedside table. He instantly knew that Steve put it there. He took the glass and emptied it right away. Then he called Steve’s name.
