Chapter Two: Second Thoughts About a Night of Bliss
Dinner at home came with a surprise. Two of her big brothers – Chuck and Dave – had come for a short visit. As usual, Jill did most of the serving at the table while Mama caught up on what her boys had been up to lately.
Once she’d finished serving all the food and had taken a seat, Chuck starting teasing his little sister. “So what you wearing tonight on your date with the billionaire?” The dinner table shook with laughter.
Even Mama found it funny. But when she spotted the uneasy frown on her daughter’s face, she said, “You leave your sister alone, Chuck. Your sister is an awfully fine dancer and if she wants to give a nice man some lessons that is up to her.”
