“So, what’s the plan here, moving forward?” I asked Indi, as she sat herself down on a chair and eyed me suspiciously.
“Plan? What plan?” She asked me curiously, and suddenly, I completely understood. Indi did not bring me here to get away from the Black Blood pack. She didn’t bring me in here to save her. She had brought me here, because in her mind and in a way, she was searching for a friend because she had been lonely. She needed someone to lean on in the hellhole of a place called the Black Blood pack. She wasn’t looking for a way out anymore, she was simply trying to survive, she had given up hope to escape already. And in a way, she believed that by finding a friend in me, that she would be able to hold on to her sanity just a little bit longer.
