Roberta POV Racing after my dad, who had a longer step than me and I had to virtually run to catch him. Even walking beside him was more a jog than a walk, he was miles away, deep in thought and hurt, that he did not even notice I was jogging alongside him until I almost stumbled and his natural father instincts, acknowledging his child was beside him, took over and caught me before I fell. ‘Easy there kiddo.’ Dad huskily chuckled a sad chuckle, that almost broke my heart for him again, his pain on show for me to see. ‘Your legs are longer than mine, I have to run to walk beside you.’ I grumbled back at my father.
