Matt and I cleared up the rest of the pack, putting to death the last few from the king's list, plus a couple more that we found during the questioning. Matt was satisfied we had them all in his pack. He has made a lot of changes using what he discovered since he was taken. Some was a bitter pill for him to take, losing some that he called friends, whose true colors showed when he was gone.
Together we went through the whole pack house, cleaning out the bad stuff, and working out how to move forward. A deep sense of betrayal was felt by him, but there was little we could do to change what had happened. I doubt he would want it any other way. At least he now had a clear understanding of who was behind him and who needed to be kept on the watch for a long time. He wouldn't forget
