Roger came to my office to discuss the displaced people. It was a surprise we had more coming, but I was pleased that he had checked each one’s story before submitting them to me, and seeing if they could meet me, so far everything appeared to be correct.
‘Three families require new clothes and school books, they have been assessed and are ready to commence school. We believe another two weeks of good food and gentle exercise, and we shall have some of the women ready to join the training. Most of the men will commence training tomorrow. I have a list of what each person did in their last pack, to see if any of their skills would be of use here.
