“All right, just pretend like you haven’t heard me say it a dozen times already, but I am getting sick of the forest.” I snarl as I fight my way through another patch of brambles. Ward chuffs, but Julius lets out a soft yelp. “You too Julius?” I ask, already exhausted from the battle freeing myself, Julius and Ward’s fur from thorns. “I just got swiped, I’m fine. “ Julius pants. I shake my head and walk around to see a long gash where a particularly tall vine has scratched across his lower leg, hooking into his leather breeches and getting stuck. “Crap, hang on Ward, stupid vines are coming with us now.” I growl and Julius gasps out a laugh while I struggle to free the vine from his breeches without stabbing myself a hundred times in the process. My curses mingle with my own yips
