It turned out Siren did not need Julio to get to Cicero to get to the party and to get to Atty. Derek Brosia. It turned out Brian and his parents were a family of philanthropists. They are a partner to the foundation, and that made Brian welcome to go to the party as a representative considering his parents were old and living abroad now.
But he needed an escort, and for some reason, Niccolo declined the chance. Siren overheard their conversation the next day. Brian was insisting Niccolo come, but the latter persistently declined.
They were not fighting over it though. They were casual and taking matters seriously yet casually offending no one. Niccolo simply did not want to be there, but he was in fact with Brian during some giving operations of the foundation.
