“Eli?” he called on her silence and rested her chin on her shoulder blade. “Hmm?” “I don’t know what to say.” “Anything. Tell me, how you felt.” “I don’t know,” she lied. “That was an almost perfect love story. But it turned out tragic. I was sure it was going to be a happy family.” He nodded. “Yes… but it wasn’t for me. It wasn’t for us.” He tightened her hold on her without hurting her wound. She could feel his every muscle behind her. She didn’t care if the comforter slipped off her and to his arms to reveal her chest. She simply didn’t want to move.  “And that’s the reason you ended up like this? Because you’re devastated.” It was Olly’s words. It devastated him when he lost them.
