She should have slapped the hell out of him or kicked the living daylight out of him. If she only had known then how to do what she did to Niccolo, she wondered if Joshua would ever show everyone the smile he used to direct at her. Perhaps she could stop anyone from falling for that asshole. She did not think worse about it after that, or months after. Or years, even. But now that she thinks of it, she feels sick again.
