“I’m calling Atty. Brosia,” he announced and closely watched her reaction. Siren did not even blink and kept herself together. The silence stretched between them. Her eyes were curious on the phone but were uninterested in the call.  After half a minute, Cicero put down the phone and put it back inside the drawer. He did not even say a word. “What does he say? I was kind of… rude when I left him.” “I didn’t call him,” he admitted. Siren blinked with innocence. “I was expecting you to panic for the lies you said. You know, I thought you were wrong for mentioning a name really closed to me and you’d be all messed up with one call but―” “You think I was lying?” she exclaimed as if offended. “I really liked you when I first met you at an event before. I took this chance to get to you and―”
