"Are you okay dad?'' I ask, noticing his expression change from happy to worried. "I'm fine Amaya," he says as he opens his arms up, so that I can hug him again.
I smile as I enjoy his hug, but something feels off. It doesn't feel like a happy hug, it feels like, he's afraid this will be our last hug. (I have to make sure I come over more often to see him and to spend time with just me and him like we did before I got my mate)
