Alpha & Omega - The Beginning of the End

The Discovery

Eve wakes up after just an hour but she didn't get out of bed for a while. She can't believe what just happened. It's supposed to be the happiest day of her life. She should be Mrs. Ledesma by now. Instead, the universe decided to put an end to everything.

That makes her wonder how she survived the meteorite strikes. What's so special about her? But the group of guys that she's with now were also spared. Maybe there's something that she needs to know.

She decides to get out of bed and try to look for answers. Wearing her pajamas makes her uncomfortable to be around all those men. She's not even wearing a bra!

She never thought that she would be in her pajamas for the apocalypse. The expectation versus reality from social media is very true. If only everyone is still alive, she can share this with her "My Day" right now.

Her apocalyptic outfit in mind will be like Lara Croft or Ultraviolet at least. But of course, she's wearing her pink pajamas without a bra and just a granny panty with matching bunny slippers.

Eve tries to find something that she can change into the closet. Judging from the variety of clothes inside, it's Adam's. He's very tall with a muscular physique. His clothes won't do.

Unless she will make his shirt to look like a dress. Why not? So, she tried to find something that she can use. He said to ask him whatever she needs anyway. Maybe he will not get mad if she uses his clothes.

Her pajamas are not clean anymore since she has to walk a few miles away from her house. She even just sat down freely from the ground. Eve is now teary-eyed again but tried her best not to cry.

She can't do anything about what happened now. Eve decided on the black polo from Adam's closet. At least it will suit her better than the other colors he has. She wonders how they were able to have their stuff in here.

Unless this is their home. But it's impossible. Where are their parents? As far as she knows, they are not even related. All of them are just friends. Maybe this is some sort of their hideout.

She changes her pajama to the long sleeve polo from the closet. She found a belt to match it so that it will look like a dress. Eve looked at herself from the mirror and decided that it's better.

At least now her breasts will not look that prominent compared with her pink pajamas. She heard the door opened and remembered that it wasn't locked. Food thing she's done changing.

It's Adam, "Lunch is ready. Let's go to the kitchen!" He said authoritatively.

Eve walks to the door and Adam is staring at him. She didn't say anything and both of them went downstairs. They reached the kitchen and now Adam knows what seems to be off.

"Are you wearing my polo?" He asked Eve.

The guys are all staring at them. She nodded, "My pajamas look filthy. I don't have any clothes to wear. So, I've decided to borrow yours. It fits perfectly, thank you!" She said and sat from one of the chairs.

Adam left standing dumbfounded. He looked to his friends for rescue but they only smiled. Realizing that he can't do anything about the situation, she grabbed Eve's hand.

"That's not your seat. You have to sit beside me. Here!" He makes her transfer to the chair on Adam's right side.

"There's a sitting arrangement to? Great!" Eve commented sarcastically.

"I already mentioned my only rule," Adam said with a firm tone.

Eve felt irritated about the "only rule" since it feels like there are more rules than one. But she decided not to say anything anymore. They are all sitting down at the dining table.

"Let's all eat!" Announce Adam and that's the only time the guys started to get their food. Eve didn't move just yet. She noticed that it's all meat. These guys need to have some veggies next time.

Adam started to put some food on Eve's plate. She immediately feels uncomfortable.

"I'm okay, I can manage." She told Adam.

He gave him a deadly look and she suddenly felt intimidated. She takes off her hand from her plate and lets Adam fill it.

"Thank you, Adam!" She said and he smiled looking that he had won this round.

She started eating before Adam said anything again. Eve feels confused about this guy. She feels safe around him but she's also scared. He's very unpredictable! He can be sweet and then savage at the same time.

The lunch went peacefully without any arguments between them. Eve wants to help with the dishes like a good guest but Adam stopped her. He grabbed her wrist and he directed her to the patio.

"Let the guys do their duty," he said and they are now seated from the bench facing the forest.

Adam is still holding her wrist and Eve doesn't know what to do. It seems that he's very sensitive about everything that she does. She just ignored it and just started from the trees.

"You can tell me to let go of your wrist." He suggested.

"That's fine if you like holding me like that so you can just drag me wherever you want me to go." She replied sarcastically.

Adam laughed and let go of her wrist. "You're something!" He said.

"Honestly, I don't care anymore. I lost everything I worked for so hard and my loved ones. Just like that!" She snapped her fingers after saying those words.

Adam held her hand and Eve didn't even flinch. Tears started flowing from her eyes again. Even if she can't see the ruins of the city anymore, she still knows it happened.

Eve's emotions seem to be out of control. But Adam just let her cry freely. After a while, he embraces her so dearly and Eve cries and gets louder until it subsides.

She can't understand how this guy can make her mad instantly and now, he's holding her as if he cares. As if she knows her so well and she feels better when he's holding him like this.

Eve is no longer crying but she just seems to not be able to let go of him. She likes how it feels with his embrace. Then she realized that she never felt this way with Richard before. She gently pushed Adam away.

"Feel better?" He asked.

Eve nodded and while wiping her face. She sighed but she's feeling better now. After all, she needs to cry it all out so she can mourn properly. She holds Adam's hand and rests her head on his shoulder.

"Thank you!" She said and they just sat there for a while saying nothing.

A month has passed since the apocalypse happens. They mostly just stay around the cottage. But today, the guys told her that they will be hunting for some food.

She wanted to come but Adam declined her request. He said that it's safer for her to stay in the cottage. Whenever she asked for the reason why he got mad and they ended up fighting.

It's been like that for a month now. They will be nice to each other one moment and after a few hours, they will end up fighting. They always seem to clash all the time since they're so different from each other.

But when she talks to the other guys he will be so angry at her accusing her of anything that he can think of. Sometimes she feels like just running away from them. But Phil always tells her that Adam means well even if he doesn't show it.

"But he doesn't even want me to talk to anyone if he's not around! I'm sure he will get mad again if he sees me talking to you!" She remembered complaining to Phil one time.

"That's a normal alpha response. But you will get used to it." Phil just shrugged.

But he's not even looking at her when he said that. When Eve pointed it out, Phil just smiled.

"I don't want to be in trouble with alpha." He said while concentrating on the garden.

Then Adam just appeared and they ended with a shouting match. Phil quietly escaped to leave them. Their fights are getting worse whenever he sees her approaching the other guys without him knowing.

During the second week, they are very sarcastic with each other. Then Adam decided to sleep in the same room where she's staying. She naturally protested and didn't know how to reason with him anymore.

"You don't want me here so you can sneak to talk to Phil! He accused her.

"That's not what I'm thinking! What I'm saying is, we can't sleep in one room!" Eva shouted.

"I'm not going to touch you! I'm sleeping on the sofa!" He insisted.

Eve is getting tired of their arguments. She didn't shout back this time.

"You're not my husband!" She commented.

She regrets saying that but it's too late. Adam started to look mad now. But he's not even looking at her. Eve started to panic as Adam started to change.

Adam's body has started to grow even more muscular. Then his face was changed into a snout with his protruding sharp teeth showing. He turned into a black werewolf with yellow eyes.

"You're a werewolf!" She gasps falling on the floor with shock.

Adam who is now in his werewolf form gazed at her and went for the huge window. He disappeared into the darkness of the night and Eve left in total shock.
