Adam and Eve went to the backyard where she discovered Richard's grave before. But she didn't tell him about her knowledge about it. She thought that it's best that she didn't know about her initial motive for returning to him.
The other guys went with them to also pay their respects to Richard. They have to burn him now that Eve knows about it. That way, he will not have to rise again as a vampire. It's best to restore his humanity than to let him roam as a vampire again.
But before they could get close to Richard's grave, they noticed that the cross had been knocked down. The grave seems to be dug up and the guys run towards it. They checked but the grave is now empty.
"He's gone!" Phil told them.
"How can that happen? I thought the vampires took his heart already!" Sam reacted.
