I tried to pull my arms out of his hold but I wasn't having any luck. The look in his eyes was threatening and even though I still don't believe he will physically hurt me, I know it's possible that he may have someone else do it for him which is terrifying me at the moment.
"Please, I don't know."
Maybe I want to protect Cade because I know this is his fault. Maybe I'm protecting my father even though I hate him he is still my father and I feel the need to protect him if I were to ever need to. The look in Mr. Hawkins's eyes right now tells me that he is going to go after whoever it is that caused this along with anyone else involved.
