What the hell just happened?
I was still breathing heavily and still lying on top of my beautiful mate, her arms wrapped around my body in ways I had only been able to dream about. I felt her tongue stroke over my neck where she closed her claim on me. I couldn’t stop smiling as I looked down at her.
She chose me,
She really chose me!
I leaned down to kiss her as my hands held her face in its place. I was bummed a bit, knowing she had claimed me and I hadn’t claimed her. I hadn’t expected her to claim me when we would mate for the first time. But Goddess, was I happy that she did! I knew my turn would come. I just hoped that by the time I would claim her, she would enjoy it, and wouldn't be thinking about that traumatizing event that had happened not too long ago. W
