I walked back through pack after a long day in University. I would be going via nursery to collect Ryder on the way home. The late afternoon sunshine felt nice on my back after a day inside of the classroom. I unclipped my hair, letting it fall loose down my back.
“What’s up doc?” I heard the familiar greeting of Beta Gio, I looked around, he was walking toward me but on the other side of the street, a big grin on his face. I swear he does his best to annoy me.
“Hey Beta Gio” I said.
“Jeez, I told ya, Gio is fine.” He says, crossing the street to walk alongside me.
“Hmm, first I told you Maya is fine and not Doc, and second, you are my Beta so I have to call you that” I tell him with a smug smile.
He rolls his eyes. “Yeah, well, friends can call me Gio when it's not formal events.
