I had left the house with my tail between my legs, so to speak. Well and truly reprimanded. I don’t know why it bothered me so much that she threatened me with Beta Gio. Is he close to her or something? He had been around her when I first saw her again. It was him saying she should link him if she needed him that night, then he was linking when we were talking to check everything was ok. Was I wrong all along and was there something going on between him and her? Had she called him Beta purely for my benefit? Is that why she was reluctant to leave their pack? It played on my mind all the way home.
