The call came about an hour later as I was eating some dinner. It was a call from Gamma Leon, Maya’s Dad. As soon as his number flashed up on my screen, I felt sick with nerves. But I took a deep breath and answered.
“Hey Gamma Leon, whats up? More training?” I ask, trying to sound casual.
“Hi Levi. No, nothing like that. Do you know where Maya is?” he asks me.
“No sorry. I took her for breakfast this morning, but she said she had stuff to do at home, so I dropped her there, then went for a run and spent the rest of the day with Jace and obviously training” I tell him. “Why, is she not home?”
I hated lying, as I knew she was not home but I knew what I had to do, I knew the story I had to stick to and the reason I had followed the plan which I had today, to make Maya's disappearance
