The next day...
I stood at the gate of the Russo residence while waiting for the guard's response. I never had to do this while we visited them when Dimitri was here, but things were different now. Therefore, I patiently waited by the guardhouse while the guard informed the main house of my visit. He was a new guard. He didn’t know me.
“Yes, ma’am, right away, ma’am.” He placed the receiver down and immediately went to my side.
“Sorry ma’am to keep you waiting, I will open the gate,” he said, and he smiled right after.
“It’s alright, manong (mister),” I smiled back at him.
I went back to my cab and instructed the driver to enter the gate. Ezekiel volunteered to accompany me, but at the last minute, someone called him from work. Anyway, it was just a short visit. I
